Carl’s Bio

Carl is an experienced trial attorney with years of experience representing clients on a wide variety of issues relating to personal injuries and business disputes. He have won millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients, and his reputation as a tireless and fearless litigator has earned him the respect of peers, opponents, and judges alike.

Carl is licensed to practice in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. He currently offices in the Kansas City market.

Carl graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University, where he was also honored with membership in Phi Beta Kappa. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended law school and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School, a perennially top ten ranked law school. After law school, he was commissioned directly and entered onto active duty in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, where he served for over six years.

After an honorable discharge from his military service, he handled significant amounts of railroad litigation for a premier Kansas City law firm. Then in 2015, following his passion to represent injured victims and their families, he opened his own firm in Overland Park, Kansas. In 2020 during COVID measures, he associated with Shields Law Group in an Of Counsel role. He currently work on cases involved in litigation and being prepared for trial. His last jury trial was in September 2022 in Wyandotte County District Court, where he obtained a verdict of $679,000 for our SLG client who had been assaulted by a passenger in a commercial truck carrier.

hE IS happily married with three children and reside in the Kansas City area.
